PROJECT OVERVIEW
The project displayed the history, legends and stories associated to the Maa Ambaji temple. The holy Saraswati River is formed here at Ambaji. It is believed that lord Ram worshipped Maa Ambe here and received the sword “Ajay”. The three ‘rupa’ (forms) of Amba i.e., ‘Balroop’, ‘Youvanaroop’ and ‘Praudharoop’ are worshipped here.
The area also sees Bhadrapad poornima festival in the Chachar Chawk on some full moon nights. On the days of Navratri, her nine rupa are worshipped and an elaborate celebration takes place.
The project was displayed on a 90m x 60m mountain. Doing projection mapping on the mountain was really very challenging we used 6 projectors of 45K lumens each to overcome this massive task. Rhino Engineer Pvt. Ltd worked with us as project consultants.
What did the client want to achieve?
The client wanted to achieve a ‘ Never Before ‘ experience in the space of religious tourism and create a WOW effect for the thousands of devotees thronging the Maa Amba Ji temple in Gujarat every day.
Scope of work your company was involved in
We were involved in the turnkey execution of the project including content , supply , system integration and programming of the show.
What key challenges were faced?
The biggest challenge was to project a legible image on a diamond shaped rock with a very short throw distance to cast an image of 60 X 90 Meters .
How were those challenges resolved?
The longest available lens was used and a choice of colours in the content was deliberate to avoid noticing of the piercing shape of the rock .
How has your work helped the client?
Devotees enjoy the show every evening. It has added a vista and celebrations of the temple. It has also boosted the local rural economy and provided jobs. All this apart from the proud feather of having the largest projection in India on a mountain and creating an awesome experience for the devotees
What are you most proud of in relation to the project?
We were able to deal with this complex design and execute the project in a green field in less than a month by creating a record making projection show in India.
